Advanced Fund Management Solutions Project Approach

When clients purchase an Accounting Suite of software products, they frequently need our help to implement the software solution. Advanced Fund Management Solutions will assist organizations like yours to simplify the effort and speed up the time of implementation.

Twenty-four years of experience with over 50 clients like you have provided our company with the experience to ensure rapid deployment with a high probability of success. To assist our clients, we have developed a comprehensive suite of professional services and educational services to assist you in the successful implementation of the Accounting solution you have chosen.

In order to accomplish your agency's implementation, our approach follows the sequence of Requirements Analysis, Software Installation, Data Conversion, Software Configuration, User Training and Live/Final Status Review. These key implementation activities are described in more detail below,

Requirements Analysis

Requirements analysis consists of reviewing your unique needs and financial objectives within your solution structure. Components which are reviewed, designed, and documented, include (1) chart of accounts structure, (2) journal control structure, (3) expenditure flow, (3) payroll processing, (4) benefit/deduction analysis, (5) internal and external reporting requirements, (6) security hierarchy, (7) application integration issues, and (8) other critical business processes, as appropriate. These requirements become the mutually defined foundation for the implementation project. An Implementation Schedule is normally defined at this time.

Software Installation & Implementation

Installation of the software consists of (1) installing the accounting software on the main server, (2) installing any required system software on each user's personal computer, (3) configuring the software for workstations and network printers, and (4) testing each user’s ability to connect to our test databases.

This step assumes that your hardware and network are already properly configured and installed, and once completed, indicates that the software has been delivered and functions properly in your environment. In summary, this task loads the software programs, creates data files and configures workstations and printers within a Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Services environment.

Implementation of the software consists of the creation or import of information specified by the Requirements Analysis. This process creates the parameters of your unique accounting system and the time required can vary from agency to agency and will have been defined during the requirements analysis.


User Training

For your implementation, on-site training will be provided.

Go Live/Final Status Review

A critical activity in the implementation project encompasses coordinating all the tasks that result in a planned “go live” event. In addition, after the go live date, Advanced Fund Management Solutions will review the implemented system to ensure that the final setup conforms to the original system design objectives and ultimately, your business environment. At this point, the implementation project is mutually determined to be complete and accepted.
